Belle is entering the walking world with force. She's been up and about for months now with her walker and moving the chairs or anything she can move, around the house. She's started standing independently clapping hands. She took her first steps on Friday at daycare and ever since it's been 2 steps here and 3 steps there with 5 second standing spells in between. Mom and dad have sore backs from walking little Belle around the house. She refuse to sit down or crawl anymore. It's with delight we announce our little girls' achievement to you.

Belle is continuing to thrive. She's got amazing energy. Tooth number 3 is appearing and she's standing up more and more these days. She walks with assistance from mom or dad or anything that can be pushed around. So the movable furniture gets rearranged all the time. We have to leave her with a babysitter for the first time tomorrow when mom goes running a half marathon and dad playing photographer.

Belle turned 9 months this past week. She's growing beautifully. She enjoys daycare and sometimes leap out of our arms to go play with her little mates. She's equally happy to see us at the end of the day though. She's strolling around the house with her walker and by holding onto the furniture. We are waiting in anticipation for those first independent steps. She is such a happy little soul and give us endless joy. She had a cold this past week and is still sporting a snotty nose, but it doesn't get her spirits down.

I salute all women today. Especially those suffering diseases and mental instability. I salute women considered 'strong' because they have to be for their family. I salute women who, with all odds against them, rise above their situations and thrive in this unstable society. I salute the young women with young families and wish them good fortune.

Where did the time go? Our baby daughter is already 8 months old. She's such a cute busy little bee now. She's got so much character and attitude, that it stunts us into silence most of the time. She has a determined spirit and when madam wants something, she wants it. She's standing up against anything and everything she can get her hands on. She has two bottom teeth and still loves her food. She's not gaining weight excessively, but is nicely proportionate (in my opinion).

I know that not every country celebrates Mother's Day today, but a happy and blessed day to every mother on this day and every day. The hope is always that one be spoiled by your loved ones and if you don't you tend to feel sorry for yourself. But if we live every day like we're special, as we're suppose to do, we will feel special.
Happy Mother's Day

Our baby is 7 months old already. She's such a busy little bee. She crawls all over the place and get herself stuck and unstuck under the chairs and in tight corners. She loves rearranging the CD's and DVD's. We are so happy to have her in our life and cherish every moment. We can't wait for her to meet the family and our friends.

Belle is half a year old now. She'd started daycare and totally loves it. She had also started commando crawling and moves all over the place. She sure knows how to keep us on our toes. She continues to grow beautifully and meets all the milestones for her age.

On this day I was born, many moons ago. I went for my morning run with my new hydration pack, had my eyebrows shaped and even did a BodyPump class in the afternoon. Just an ordinary day ended with dinner at a family restaurant, me, my bub, my beau and my friend Michaela. In the past I always had something special planned. A marathon, bungee jumping or a visit abroad. Does things have to change once a baby is in the picture? I don't think it should. I want to keep my individuality and incorporate it in my daughter's upbringing. I have a few great books to tell you about in my book forum. I was very fortunate to have had the opportunity to read 4 books in the last 6 months (with baby in the house). The books are 'A woman of no importance' (Kate Konopicky), NOVA: My story (The autobiography of Nova Peris), Eat Pray Love (Elizabeth Gilbert) as seen on Oprah and The measure of a man (Sidney Poitier) also seen on Oprah. So look out and please feel free to comment.

It's amazing how quick time flies. My baby is 5 months old and I'm back to work in 4 weeks time and my baby off to daycare. I'm trying not to dwell on that and just enjoy my time with little Belle. Daddy's off to work from tomorrow, so for the first time it'll just be the two of us. We're becoming a bit more social now. We went to a Rhyme time session for babies at the library last week and this week we'll be going to a Koochi Koo morning tea. Belle even went to the gym with me, even though she wasn't too impress with the creche. On Saturday we'll be joining the mayor and all other new babies at a Welcome Babies Ceremony where Belle will be officially welcomed to the city. We had confirmation that Belle's Aussie passport had been processed and we should receive it soon.
