Kicks and moves
My Diary By Elderene Claassen on 8/19/2007

As we count down the weeks to our baby's arrival, the kicks and moves are getting bigger in my belly. I guess the space in there is limited and every little move is being accentuated. We've been excited about our baby since before its creation, but now we are absolutely bursting. Our excitement is also mixed with fears. We have 6-7 weeks to go before meeting our little miracle, and we can't wait.

Reasons to be happy: 5
My Diary By Elderene Claassen on 8/8/2007

Reflect upon your present blessings,
of which every man has plenty;
not on your past misfortunes,
of which all men have some.

(Charles Dickens, 1812-70)

In remembrance
My Diary By Elderene Claassen on 8/2/2007
Another year has passed since the departure of 'the rock' in our family. As we remember her motherly presence and solid character,we still miss her smile, laughter, advice, wisdom, guidance and everything she'd meant to us. We will always feel her presence in our lives and will continue to remind each other of the foundations of our upbringing.
We also remember our brother Lionel. It's been 7 years now.
My all our departed loved ones rest in peace.

Fortunate
My Diary By Elderene Claassen on 7/16/2007
As my baby bump continuous to grow and my baby make his presence felt, I can't believe how fortunate I am to have a caring and supportive partner. Not only does he provide a nutritious cooked meal every night, but he doesn't complain when asked to rub my back or lace up my shoes. Every mom-to-be deserves to be this fortunate.

Recognition
My Diary By Elderene Claassen on 7/1/2007
We all need some encouragement at times. Sometimes we experience a phase in our lives that demands us to take stock of our surroundings. At these times we are forced to evaluate our achievements and acknowledge our short comings. But when you get recognition for all the hard work you've done thus far in your career, that's when you feel appreciated and encouraged to keep up the good work. I have recently been invited for an interview to a job that will ultimately take me in a direction in my career that will take me a step up. Whether I get this job or not, is not the point. The point is that my achievements up to now had been recognised, and that feels tremendously good.

Half way
My Diary By Elderene Claassen on 5/25/2007
I'm at the half way mark in my pregnancy. Week 20 now. As we near the 6th month of the year, it just strike me at how fast time goes by. I'm really loving my belly and it amaze me at how much it grows week by week. We've decided to keep the baby's gender a surprise.

With every gain...
My Diary By Elderene Claassen on 4/23/2007
Things are going extremely well with my pregnancy. I'm growing out of my clothes fairly quickly now. Keep an eye on my Mom-to-be forum.
Unfortunately with every gain, there comes losses. I'm sad to announce that Jolina's grandma had passed away last weekend. Our hearts go out to the family and salute their grandma for the long and full life she'd led.

Reasons to be happy: 4
My Diary By Elderene Claassen on 4/17/2007

There are only two ways to live your life.

One is as though nothing is a miracle.

The other is as though everything is.

I believe in the latter.
